Ready for a Little Cowboy Romance?
I spent countless hours in the library as a little girl. I begged to go, checked out more than my allotted share of books and was never ready to be picked up when it was time to leave. It didn’t take me long before I was sneaking upstairs to the ‘real library’ and wandering through the seemingly endless tall shelves of books, loosing myself in words.
I wrote my first novel in the third grade in a MEAD notebook with a glossy unicorn cover. It remains unpublished (thankfully) but I have the notebook in my desk. It serves as a nice totem to remind me of where I’ve been. Since then, I’ve kept novel plots and starts of scenes in little books and on scraps of paper. Writing fiction has always been with me, floating along like a little haze, tapping lightly on my shoulder; I wanted publish novel, but for most of my life I’ve lacked the courage to publish novels. Until 2015. Finally it was time and pulling together a group of stories I had whittled on since 2007, I got organized and sat down to create. What resulted was Championship Drive, the first book in the Championship Drive series of cowboy romance tales featuring heroine Savannah Morgan. Novel 2 – Heart of a Champion

Having spent six months nursing a broken heart and learning to manage her farm alone, Savannah was thrilled with the idea of a change of scenery when her best friend offered a free trip to California’s wine country. Combining wine tasting and the chance to write an article about a beautiful ranch looked like a perfect trip – especially once Savannah meets the handsome and cultured Alexander Kingsley.
With an invitation to stay at the Kingsley Estate Winery for a month and the dashing ‘Zander’ to show her around, Savannah’s heart is sure to be on the mend. Ultimately, she has to get back to Indiana to manage her own cow herd, yet she’s left with a tough choice before she goes – which man does she love?
